My Mohter's Clan homesteaded not far from Moose Jaw Saskatchewan and after a few very lean and cold winters they packed up everything and headed further West to Vancouver Island. They loved the Island and it felt more like being back home in England.
Oh I really like the contrast between the colors of the family members and the backdrop of the photo. I like the combination of scribbles and the elegance of the vintage lace in background. Great journaling. Fascinating to read about how people came to a new country back in the olden days. Beautiful heritage page.
Enjoyed your journaling... It was a rough life... My mother's family came from Eastern Canada also, but ended up in the states... mostly Seattle area... Pretty tribute page, with lots of family members!
