Process
A solid background paper from Artplay MiniPalette was selected for the foundation of the page. Several Watercolor FotoBlendz masks were opened and layered around the photo (resized and rotated). The photo was duplicated several times and clipped to the different masks. The blending mode of the masks were changed to color burn. A composite image was made and imported onto the page. The image was duplicated with the blending mode changed to dissolve (opacity reduced). Transfers and overlays from a of variety were layered around the page with the blending mode changed to color burn. The blending mode of the key was also changed to color burn. The MultiMedia birds were added. The dotted paper from APP My Camera was clipped to an AnnaBlendz Artsy 7 mask (resized and blending mode changed to color burn).
Thank you for looking!
Love the cracked walls and the connection between the key and the jail. Great job on the color challenge!

Loved reading your process notes on your fabulous layout. I like how you used the crack and adding the birds. Jail birds no doubt. Wonderful color challenge page.

i seriously doubt if any of those jailbirds ever sang. Texas jails, then and now, are not a good place to be. but i love your photo and design. the color palette mimics the limestone the jail was made from and the inclusion of the key is so clever too.

WOW...that was a LOT of steps... but the results were worth it.. What caught my fancy was how without words you were able to tell a story about what a jailhouse might be... Nicely done!

I love your MikiHumor! The word strip and the bird flock add such a lilt to this page. Great use of the cracked paper, too.
