There was a wire fence and I just got a glimpse of the spotted towhee and reacted fast to get this photo. I wanted it in my journal so I'd remember it better. To fix this crappy shot I stitched away the fence. Not the quality I strive for but adding the stitching was fun.

I never seen a Northern Cardinal. Beautiful bird and markings. We only have the red ones around here. Gorgeous page ... and I love listening to the birds in the morning!

When I posted up the Spotted Towhee photo, I posted two pages at the same time, and the gallery chose the description of the Northern Cardinal for both photos. I have now fixed the mistake.

Great idea to use the stitching as the fence, you do far better than I do on getting bird shots. I tried unsuccessfully to just get a robin yesterday!!

I've shot photos often through a chain link fence...the stitching is the perfect solution! Beautiful blending of text and writing!

love the stitching on the page! towhees remind me a little bit of a robin with the coloring on the side and how they love the ground - gorgeous!

That's a nice save with the stitching! And the photo is a great grab. Birds move so fast! We were in a bird blind this weekend hoping to spot a wood thrush, but they're too quick for us--heard them, though. Anyway, this came out great.
