I can't find the conversation I had with someone (Zlemon???) about using CitraSolve and National Geographic magazines to make art. But I finally got around to doing the project. It is very messy (and was hard on my back, as I laid each page out on the lawn to dry), and time-consuming, but I have to admit, it made some pretty gorgeous art.
Today I scanned and saved as jpgs, a couple dozen + of the resulting pages, and I made you a sampler. Theoretically, I will use these in my digital scrapbooking. Background papers? Textures?
If you Google CitraSolve, you will find lots of information, as well as youtube videos on how to do it. Wait for warm dry weather, because you will want to do it outside. Also, wear clothes you don't mind getting ink-stained. Wear rubber gloves unless you don't mind ink-stained hands (although CitraSolve will do a pretty good job of cleaning your hands).
