Process:
This being a baseball team layout, part of me wanted to stick to the Mets's team colors, but I also wanted to include the seating chart that showed our box, which introduced a whole different color palette. I proceeded with making a photo montage of my son's photo of Citifield and the stadium seating chart, and figured I would worry about color coordination later. The next step was selecting a templateI chose one with a horizontal curved mask that would complement the curved front of the stadium. Though the mask wasn't tall enough, I simply expanded it by dropping a ModGrunge fotoblendz behind. I added my montage to the template mask, duplicated the montage, and dragged it over the ModGrunge mask and clipped it into place. Then it was on to address the challenge of unifying all the colors in my imagery.

After some experimentation, I went with two artsy papers from the Imagination Artplay Palette, set on overlay mode, for the background. To pep up the green in the seating chart, I grabbed another artsy paper from the palette, reduced it in size, and slid it under the chart on linear burn. All of a sudden I had a neon layout! And I was okay with that.

The next step was doing the journaling and the title, to see how that would effect the layout, and from there it was just a matter of enhancing what I had done with transfers, overlays, and brushwork and recoloring the stain layers to match the layout. To tie the colors together, I used two artsy transfers from the Vitality set. And then I added a few dimensional elements from the Artplay Palette. Some big word art and I was done!

The Mets lost, but we had a great time. :)
So much to see on this page, but every thing in balance, great way how you did this, gorgeous!

Great journaling, although I'm a Yankee fan! Love the blending, map and fun photos! Love how you fill a page with excitement!

wow you've done so much here it's a little mind boggling, but the final effect is wonderful. I rooted for the Mets last year, but only because the Giants were out of it ;-) (Plus Curtis Granderson has been a favorite since he played for the Yankees).

love the springtime colors, different than your usual. a fun design filled with energy.

This page is filled with movement and energy. Love it: so much to see and enjoy.
