I understand your comments... I have never appreciated a photo of myself... for some reason I never look like I want to look... call it what you will,we are so hard on ourselves when it comes to photos.Over the years,I have promised myself that I would accept what I look like,but I have not been too successful yet.I am unsure how we get there,but it is a fact for me. However,I think your layout is wonderful,I love the warmth and the genuine smiles.The sketch effect is perfect and even though you look at it differently than this total stranger, you look amazing.What a beautiful couple you both make!!

You're making me cry. You are all too kind. And I must say, there are many advantages to not being glamorous. When middle age hit, and I realized that I had become invisible to the world, I resented it. It didn't take long, however, to discover that it was preferable. I had a car once, that everyone in town recognized. Not that I would WANT to, but you really can't get away with anything when your car stands out! LOL

Can anyone tell me why my avatar hasn't changed here? It is the new one on the page where I linked this photo.

F5 should refresh the avatar and if not- you can clear your cache. The avis in the gallery always lag behind a bit

AH! Thanks Chris. Technology stuff always causes me to go into a tailspin. LOL I so admire all you people who are not only awesome artists, but "get" the geeky stuff! I had to clear the cashe (which I had to google to find out how to do! LOL).

well Sharon i think we all think the same about ourselves seeing us on a picture. And yes when i saw my picture from 10 years ago i am startled !!!

I also think that the sketch effect wasn't really needed, it gives a wonderful effect to your avi!

btw I resent getting older too, I used Photoshop to edit my photos, so IRL some didn't recognize me
