Journaling reads: Called Nanuq by the Inuit, and to them, he is worthy of great respect. In their poetry, they call him Pihoqahuik, meaning the ever-wandering one. I adore the majestic air of the Polar bear, and as I watch them in their enclosure at the San Diego Zoo, I can understand how they have also earned the name - The King of the North.

AnnaBlendz Artsy No. 6 (coming soon)
Process Notes: I began with the Artsy paper, and used inverted masking to place the photo. I placed the photo blend mode Overlay. I copied the photo, and placed the top layer on blend mode Darken, reducing this layers opacity to 70%. I copied the photo one more time, and to this top layer, I played around with the masking to best enhance the bear, rocks and water areas. I then placed the frame, masking a portion of the frame out. I added a variety of transfers and brushes from APP Aspera, plus the MM Stars, and WordART. I added the Looped UrbanThreadz to the bottom right corner of the frame, and then added the title, giving it a soft but broad shadow, to make certain it stood out. I finished the page by tucking the journaling below the title.
