There were 17-year and 13-year cicadas both expected and I'm glad we at least found some.

A few years ago in my area of NJ the 17 year cicadas emerged and OMgosh they were so numerous that you almost could not hear yourself talk. And you had to watch where you walked as they were everywhere - And yes they had those bright red eyes - awesome framing and blending!
