One of the main reason for going to Texas and the Davis Mts was to see the Montezuma's quail. They are secretive and like to crouch down in the tall grass. Really the only way to see them if you spot them crossing a road or if you go to the blind set up at the Davis Mt state Park lodge. I got these photos at the blind. They are so cool!
