this is a photo i took of a Caspers very close to where i live.
journaling: every time i walk by i think about my grandfather. he would have loved this place. old-fashioned-padded-swivel-stools, hot dogs, chips, and ice cream shakesand all to be enjoyed in front of big picture windows that face the street so that you can watch life as it goes on outside. i knew one day id do this page for him.

the background is a combination of two solids-one from app Christmas Magic set to Overlay that is on the layer above a solid from app Autumn Elegance. the photo is clipped to the mask that is part of the .psd file for the frame. to get the color on the photo ... on a new layer (clipped to the photo) i stamped one of the images from artsypaint no.6 in the same color as the background. over this i added a second layer of artsypaint stamped in white to lighten the sign and the two people at the window (soft light). over these layers, i added the bokeh, moving it around until the colors were where i wanted them (the blue layers were deleted). with the photo work done, i moved to the background. i added a transfer under the photo and recolored it to a peachy tone. this layer is set to Multiply. i added the banner under the transfer so that some of the color would "rub off" on the banner string. the stitched banner is added over the paper banner. it's masked to remove all but three flags. i also added some stitching holes to duplicate the look of the stitchez that run over the photo. i added the brad and the no. "545" (which is the location address). i added the journaling and it was done.
my grandfather really would have loved this place. when my son was small, we used to go here. he would eat and i would read to him. my son still likes an occasional hot dog but we don't read by the window anymore.
