The Process
After editing the photo, I duplicated it and flipped vertically the bottom layer. I used several filters (gaussian blur, motion blur and distort (ripple effect) to create the reflected image. I added a layer mask and using the gradient tool, I hid portions of the photo. Since my photo was of lo res quality, I extracted the top image and created a custom shadow behind it. Then I aligned the two photos and placed transfer 5 from AP Break Away behind them. I created a composite layer (2 photos, shadow and transfer) and clipped it to a watercolor fotoblendz mask (recolored blue). I imported this to a 12x12 page with artsy paper 1 (flipped horizontally) and moved the photo to a blue area for better blending. A Light Leak was placed behind the photo (blending mode normal). I next added a warm glow with the blending mode changed to color. Stitches, a multimedia butterfly, button, label word, wood word, beaded thread and an overlay from AP Break Away were added to complete the page.
