The Process: This was accomplished using a lot of blending, and a lot of experimenting with the different blend modes. I began with an Artsy Paper from AnnaSampler No. 4. I used Inverted Masking to blend the photo unto the paper. I placed the photo, which was very dark, on Blend Mode Hard Light. I then took another layer of the photo, and again using the Inverted Masking technique, blended in just the buildings, reducing the opacity to about 40%. I then added the FotoBlendz from the AnnaSampler No. 4, and placed it on top of the photo and used Blend Mode Overlay, allowing the photo colors to intensify. I added a number of other transfers from the Samplers, and from the ArtsyTransfers Capture. I played around with various layers, modifying their colors and blend modes. I added some of the brushes from DifferentStrokes, to intensify the reflection of the buildings. I added the WordART (Shine), and then added the San Diego, using a font. I added a deep shadow to San Diego, and reduced the opacity of the font color down to about 15%. I finished up by adding the FadedWords, and Dripped Watercolor (changing their color and blend modes)

Beautiful.. so dreamy looking... I did not get that view when I was there in Nov....

Hmmm guess I should watch the reverse blending video I bought a while back??? and those upcoming samplers sound very interesting.... don't you just love the blending modes...they are like magic... you never quite know what you are going to get....

Your photo is beautiful. You indicate you put the fotoblendz on top of the photo and change the mode? I've been using fotoblendz as a clipping mask. Can't wait to try it on top. Thank you for the details of how you created your masterpiece.
