Sensitive Hunter

Inspired by Donna's beautiful photo story, I used the new ArtsyTransfers Together and Artsy Transfers Glance on this old photo of my DH taken with an Instamatic for this week's aA lift.

Process: Inspired by the photo story on Donnas page, a story about my husband came to mind. First, I wrote my journaling. Then I began working with a photo from 1971, a 3.5x3.5 square taken with an Instamatic. Since the clarity wasnt great, I added filters to give it a more painted look. There are three copies of the photo, the first masks out all but the figure with the blending on multiply with a levels adjustment set on soft light at 75%. The second layer brings in more of the photo, also with blending mode soft light at 100%. There was actually light on the hills behind the hunter, bringing in layers from Artsy Transfers Glance 6 and 4 enhanced that light. I attached a copy of the photo to a paint layer from transfer4. I also used the texture layers included in transfer6. Next I placed a copy of the glow below the second copy my photo. I used transfer6 from ArtPlay Together below the photo layers along with a paint layer from ArtsyTransfers Together. I used the clone tool on the background paper (solid paper1) to lighten the texture on the left. I clipped a levels adjustment layer just above the paper on screen blend mode at 25%. Above that I placed some of the layers from artsy transfer Glance_2 along with an urban thread and some beads from ArtPlay Glance. Below the journaling, I used layers from Artsy Transfers Together, recoloring a couple of layers and reducing the opacity of the white paint. I added another thread and beads.
Wow Linda, you make such stunning layouts!!! Beautiful page, love your design and your work with the transfers. All is flowing so well.

Love the journaling Linda. My dh is big into shooting, but before we got married, I told him my thoughts on hunting, and he has never gone hunting - just shoots targets, which I can live with. Gorgeous layout - love the photo, the page design - stunning!!!

Love this. The photo treatment, the colors, the placement of the journaling. And how the eye moves across the page.
