Joanne's challenge is all about living in the present. That is something that can be hard for me to do. But recently, my kids and I spent an afternoon laughing and doing precisely that. We did our annual Pumpkin Picking, Pumpkin Carving, roasting and eating Pumpkin seeds while watching The Great Pumpkin. (See a theme?

I layered the pumpkins from the Toil and Trouble kit around the spooky tree. A little bit of grungy tape holds down the photos onto the frames that I am using as mats.

Yes, my kids are 16 and 18. but going pumpkin picking together is one of those things that we must do. I love laughing with them as they check out all of the pumpkins, picking out the best ones that they can find. They inspect carefully, pick them up, declare which ones are The Best. Its one of those experiences that makes me happy to live in the moment with them.
