Since I am working on vacation/PL photos and I want the pages to coordinate, for Ladder Challenge Day 2 https://ozone.oscraps.com/forum/showthread.php?t=30084 I once again used Anna Aspnes ArtPlay Palette Splash https://www.oscraps.com/shop/product.php?productid=10009246&page=1 and for my multi-media elements, MultiMedia Read No 1 https://www.oscraps.com/shop/product.php?productid=10009630
As with Day 1, I started with a paperie, then blended a couple more paperies on top, all with vector masks to erase the parts I didn't want. Then I placed my photo, which is an Instagram photo so color enhanced. Next I placed the Tahoe Queen picture in the background, set to Color Burn, 33% opacity, and with a mask to blend it.
I copied the quote from the book, the same quote read to us by the captain of the Tahoe Queen on our tour. Next I used the multimedia elements, some whole, some in pieces and parts, to back the quote and photo. I placed the red button, red bow and red stain to triangulate the red and pop the page a bit.
Final step was the journaling, with the use of Anna Aspnes Journal Transfers 2 https://www.oscraps.com/shop/product.php?productid=30329&page=1 to enable it to show.
Journaling:
It was hard not to be fascinated with the Tahoe Queen. Not only was it docked at Ski Run Marina where we were staying, but the nearby plaza also had a statue of Mark Twain. I thought perhaps this was another of the extended legends associated with the writer, but it turns out he actually did spend time at the lake, writing about it beautifully in his book Roughing It, as told to us by the captain of the Tahoe Queen on our journey. Not part of our tour, but on Monday evening after the boat docked, there was the great man himself, or at least a reasonable facsimile, leaving the boat.
