The Process
I selected a neutral background paper from AP Knowledge and then layered it with another paper from the kit and changed the blending mode to color burn to allow some of the red dots to show through. I extracted my photo, duplicated it with the blending mode set to hard light with the opacity reduced a bit. I placed the frame behind my image and then duplicated it, placing that layer in front of the image. Using a layer mask, I hid a portion of the frame around the image. Doing this gave a smoother look and transition around the image. I added transfers, multimedia book image behind the back frame, filling in the empty space. I then duplicated the image, flipped it so that my mother and her father were showing. I finished the page by adding elements, stitching, loops, threads and an overlay.
