Thanks for looking
Journaling: This is a photo of my grandmother, Doris. She looks to be in her twenties, so Id place the date sometime in the early 1940s. The woman in the background was her mother-in-law, my great-grandma Mandy. Notice the laundry on the line in the background. Over the years, I spent many happy hours with my grandmother talking and folding clothes. Looking more closely, the most important detail in the photo is the Lady Elgin watch on my grandmothers wrist. She gave me that watch. I know I have it somewhere in the house and I am determined to find it in the next few days. I wore that watch to work every day for many years. When it stopped running I put it away until I could take it to be fixed. That was a long time ago, probably close to 15 years. Its time to give it new life.
process...
choose a photo and an artsy paper that goes with your photo. decide where you want your photo on the page and place a mask over that spot. clip your photo to the mask and adjust. add stitches, brushes, and other elements. add additional color to help flow across the page. add title and journaling.
