Red Columbine
We set out early for nice lighting, but the old road took us through dense pine forest. Eventually it opened up into a flooded bog with deep muddy ruts, We had to turn around. We spotted the red columbine in the deep shade of the forest. On the way back we stopped at a slash pile and hauled out a campfire log.
