Journaling reads: You have always been what I would consider, an easy child. You have always been good, never giving us cause for concern. You amazed me with you maturity while in High School, compared to your friend. You have a good sense of self, and although you have had times where you were not confident, you always pushed on as if you were, and things have always seemed to fall into place. You do have your issues a high expectation of perfection in all that you do, which has been both good and bad. I am hoping that you will soon be able to decipher when things can be less than perfect, as trying to be perfect all the time is an impossible feat. I chuckle when you ask my advice concerning fashion, as I have to admit that I have no clue as to the fashion of a 21 year old, but I do feel you have a good eye, and I also love that you feel quite comfortable in a dress or skirt while most young girls are in jeans. I know right now you have struggling with the changes all young adults struggle with as their lives becomes more complex, but please know that I celebrate the young woman you have become, and am confident you can handle all that is thrown your way. - So believe in yourself!

The Process: After placing the background paper, I placed an Artsy Kard, and attached the photo to one of the many layers of the Kard. I blended out some of the edges of the Kard so that it worked well with the photo. I placed the photo on Blend Mode Hard Light, but duplicated the photo, and placing the duplicate on the Normal Blend Mode, masked out all but a slight amount of detail on Rachels hair and face. I then added 2 more Artsy Kards. At that point, I decided to change the Hue and Saturation to the ArtsyKardz and background paper (I think I am into blues right now). I added the frame, changing its Hue as well, and then added various brushes. Hipster Plume FotoBlendz were placed under the photo area, and changed to Blend Mode Overlay. I added the elements and WordArt, and then created a custom path for the journaling. I finished by adding the edge overlay, which was placed on Blend Mode Overlay, and then duplicated, to darken it.
