We went on a lot of adventures during my childhood. One of the greatest gifts my parents gave me was that of travel. Living in Germany we skied the Alps in the winter and explored the more southern European countries during the summer months. My parents were big fans of the South of France. This photo was taken circa 1985 in Switzerland en route to one of our family Summer vacations. It might have been the only time that I wasnt throwing up from car sickness during the trip but finding snow in the middle of summer made it totally worthwhile. Wed never seen that before. My Dad, who spent his career flying at the speed of sound, saw life as one big adventure. Sometimes you have to feel a little uncomfortable, face your fears of getting lost and throw yourself at adventure. Heading into the unknown is where the magic and the growth happens.
