October 2013 was not a good month for the beasts. First Umi turned up suddenly lame. We tried a wait and see approach but to no avail and when she was finally radiographed we discovered avascular necrosis of the femoral head - major ouch. So there was nothing to do but a femoral head ostectomy. I am not sure Umi appreciated the intervention but her hip is now redesigned and functioning well. Then we discovered Milly is allergic to about half the grasses-trees-pollens she was tested for. At least she wasnt allergic to us! No human or cat dander allergies. Now she starts a desensitization protocol. Good thing I get a professional discount.
