Happy first day of Summer (I'm one day behind)
for those of us who have Summer this time of year.
A friend sent me this photo of their Robins nest
with one beautiful blue egg still to hatch.
The baby emerged the next day!
They look so warm and cozy cuddled together.
When its time for the babies to fly off on their own
they must be wishing cant we stay a little longer?
Process:
The layout is a basic process of layering and blending,
varying modes and opacities, using Glows for emphasis.
Here is a brief description of the photo blur process:
I process the blurred photo right on my layout.
(You can also process in a separate file and save for later use)
Place original photo. Duplicate photo and link with original.
Apply a Gaussian blur to the duplicate. Adjust opacity of blur to your liking.
Now you need to carefully erase portions of the blurred photo
to reveal portions of the original image beneath.
Choose a soft brush and adjust size/opacity to suit the areas you are working on.
A lower opacity erasure will create a softer transition between the blur and the original.
Carefully erase until you are satisfied with the results.
*Ive added WarmGlows to the finished process to enhance color and light.
