Today, I received this photo of my dearest friend's nieceI've known her (niece) since she was three years old and she is a lovely, deeply caring human being. My friend is a professor of psychology and was teaching and visiting for three weeks in South Africa and took Miss C. along. They've had a wonderful time including Safari.

Process:
Clipped image to a Wanderlust transfer and color burned (blending mode) the image. I didn't really like how the colors turned out so I went to Enhance>Adjust Color>Color Variations and played with the tones. Then I went to Enhance, Adjust Color and decreased the Saturation of the image.
I put another Wanderlust transfer under the image and color burned it as well.
The left side of the image (trees) was too red, so I laid Wanderlust solid blue paper that section and reduced opacity, then increase saturation to 100.
Used Wanderlust solid paper for background.
Added Wanderlust brushes.
Added Wanderlust stampcolor burned, then adjusted color variation.
Added tape and jet.
Added word artapplied darken blending mode to wanderlust label to make the background disappear.
Merged all above layers and clipped to 12x12 clipping mask and used APP Weihnachtsbaum paper for background.
Added glow behind merged, masked layers in upper right corner.
Added two sets of flags, reduce opacity.
Added brads with slight shadowing.
