My house holds a very special place in my heart. Theres nothing out of the ordinary about it structurally. Its just an average bi-level house with three bedrooms and one and a half *tiny* bathrooms. What makes my house special is the memories it holds. My house belonged to my grandparents, and I spent a lot of time here during my childhood. Days spent roaming the neighborhood. Playing with my best friend next door. Weekend sleepovers with my brother and cousins. Dinners made with the delicious vegetables from my grandfathers garden. My grandmother's pancakes for breakfast. Flashlight tag. Picking honeysuckle behind the garage. Closing my finger in the bedroom door and then passing out in the bathroom. lol

Everything in my house has a memory attached to it, and that's what makes it special. Even if I could buy a newer, bigger house, I'm not sure that I would. Memories mean more to me than bigger and better. Not to mention, I'm always sharing these childhood memories with my kids, and I think that's special for them too.
