Life

My brother's 19 year-old son, my first nephew, died a few months ago as a result of a car accident. At his funeral, his little niece was there giving hugs and and holding hands, comforting family and friends. She was and remains a bright spot of hope in the middle of a senseless tragedy.

Oh Jan. This is just so incredible. I can't even begin to express the beauty of the page and all that lies behind it. :']

Thanks for the words of comfort and support. I'm just beginning to process the event and put some thoughts on paper, so to speak.
The image of my nephew in the background was the last photo ever taken of him... on a good day, about a week before he died.

She looks like an angel. So sorry for your loss, but happy she is there to help ease the pain.

Stunning page. Little children are so often that hope for us when we need it most. So sorry for your loss.

Wow - this is a gorgeous page, but the story behind it adds a whole new dimension. Love the symbolism of the photo blended into the water colour. Beautifully done.

What a smile she has and her eyes - I can see how she has given you all hope! I am so sorry for your loss! so special how you blended him into the background! a very special page!
