A little story about our elf:
Ella came home talking about this Elf on the Shelf. She knew all the details. Such news spreads like wildfire at a school where they have their own resident Elf. Apparently you write to the Elf, the Elf comes and then he reports back to Santa each night as to whether said child has been good. Each day the Elf comes back where he can be found in a new spot in the house. Ella was very persistent about this Elf. She went back and forth over a name for her Elf and wondered whether it would be a boy or a girl She would go into the studio each morning where she left her letter until eventually the Elf came. A little disappointed at first that her Elf was in fact a boy and not a girl, she took Santas apology well and named him Sam. Apparently all the little girl Elves had been assigned for Year 2011. She came to love Sam and looked forward to finding him each day. He was the biggest thing to enter Ellas life in December 2011.
