My journaling reads:
Chilly mornings scraping frost from my windscreen.
Warming soup with buttered bread for lunch.
Beautifully golden late afternoon sunshine.
Driving home from work with my car headlights on.
Hearty stews or casseroles for tea.
Sweet hot chocolate, topped with whipped cream.
Closing the front room curtains.
Swapping to my blue dressing-gown.
Putting a blanket on the bed.
All of these things mean autumn to me.
