A bit of family lore: my Great Uncle Gasque lost his left arm to a hobo-ing mishap. Not sure what that was, and originally we thought it was a WWI accident. Oh well, no so glamorous, but far more intriguing!

Well, what kind of hoboing incident would lead to the loss of an arm? Wonder if he tried jumping a train?! The layout leaves one very curious! Love it!
