These are a selection of photos taken from the time I taught in Africa in the mid 1990s. I lived and worked in a very remote part of Namibia for almost two years. It stole my heart away and gave me memories that will live with me forever. I knew straight away what song lyrics I was going to use this month. All my life I wanted to make a difference and have an adventure. Little did I understand that when I went to Africa on a two year teaching assignment, it would be me who would learn so many lessons a true reflection of all I had become? Africa changed my life forever. These lyrics by Tina Arena are very sad as they describe a parting of the ways; an attempt to build something together that was never going to be successful. I lost my courage and left before my contract was up, we came from different worlds and the challenges were many and at times insurmountable. However, without a doubt in my mind, it was THE most life changing adventure I have ever experienced.

Wonderfully scrapped Helen ... I'm sooooooo glad you added your journaling in the credits section, I know the whole purpose of the LO is to incorporate song lyrics into your page, but for me, it's your own words & story that really make this the fabulous page it is!

Love the side cluster, very intriguing and makes one want to find out what else is under the strip of photos. Gosh it seems like ages since I last saw this LO! Which reminds me, I must post my LO on this theme.

hey sweetie!! what a visually creative and wonderful page! like Selena I am left wondering if there is more to see under the photos! What an adventure you must have had and how wonderful to have so many precious memories close to your heart!!!
