This is for the 9th&B September Vintage Corner challenge about scrapping love at first site.

I took a different approach since I've wanted to scrap this for awhile & this seemed perfect. I'm lucky enough to have a autobiography, (not complete), from my grandpa who passed away in 2000... so this is his words.

Journaling:
1950 is the most important year of my life thus far, I met Jeanne and the Korean War started. In the summer of 1949 I saw Jeanne in Liberty at the home of her cousin. She was wearing a white shirt and white shorts, and with her light blond hair I thought she was very, very pretty. I just wasn't forward enough to speak to her. During the late fall of 1949, the town fathers granted permission to hold dances in the basement of the old Coliseum in Liberty to counter the complaints of the young people in Union County that there was nothing to do here". In February of 1950 both Jeanne and I attended a dance. I subsequently asked her for a dance and during the dance I asked her for a date. Her immediate reply was: "With YOU???" (The poor girl should have retained her initial unfavorable opinion of me as we dated steadily thereafter.)
