This artistic interpretation of this picture of Gettysburg may seem a little formal, but I really loved the contrast between the formal gorgeousness of the land and the starkness of war. So I tried to capture that in this LO! The sobriety of 54, 000 troops being killed, wounded or lost at Gettysburg is truly breathtaking! Especially when you are actually there...
