Here's my working for the June 2010 Creative Techniques Challenge - to use PSE Filters under the Adjustments tab.

I didn't get on very well with these and thought the ones under Colour were simply dreadful! But I did like Equalise, then I cheated and added a Lens Flare (Filter>Render>Lens Flare)!
