Journaling:
Its been happening slowly, a little bit at a time so that its hardly noticeable - until one day I realize youre the one telling me how it is, and Im the one changing the radio station every time you get into the car with me. Im still a pretty cool mom, in the scheme of things. I think youll acknowledge that Im a lot more laid-back than some of your friends moms, but there was a time when you reveled in my awesomeness - I knew everything, I could do everything and my jokes were the funniest. You looked to me for my opinion, and now Im constantly asking you for yours. Were moving along the timeline, and well come out on the other side still loving one another, like many generations before us. But try to remember that there was once a time when you would run to me in public with arms wide open, screaming Mama!! at the top of your lungs.
