I was lucky enough to visit Chicago in May 2007. My trip was absolutely fantastic and some of the best moments were when I got to see iconic American images for the 1st time ... things like traffic lights suspended above the centre of a crossroad, zig-zag fire escape ladders running down the outside of building and of course the "L" trains in the city centre! To me, these things yell "America!" in the same way as red telephone boxes screams "England!". LOL!!!
