Nicole is my only biological grandchild, and it is quite evident. This little apple fell real close to grandma's and her dad's tree! I have to admit that this makes all three of us pretty happy. It is really a special bond. One of her dad's favorite comments, in all sorts of situations is, "you're just like your Grandma!" I can tell you that it warms my heart strings when she happily agrees. I am so fortunate to have her love and respect. She even likes new comparisons, like when she started experimenting with different hair color, highlights and etc. a year or so ago. Dad laughs and tells her "You're just like Grandma. I never knew what color her hair was going to be, when I was growing up." I just think this is hilarious. What a joy they both are to me.
