Letting Go

This is a poem I bought after my Mother died in 2001. It so fit what I wanted to say about how badly I wished she could stay on earth but instead we chose to let her go. She was a fantastic mother, grandmother, friend and person to everyone. An eternal Mamo to all the kids. The poem says:
The angels gathered near your bed so very close to you. For they knew the pain and suffering that you were going through. I thought about so many things as I held tightly to your hand. Oh how I wished that you were strong and happy once again. But your eyes were looking homeward to that place beyond the sky. Where Jesus held his outstretched arms, it was time to say good-bye. I struggled with my selfish thoughts for I wanted you to stay. So we could walk and talk again like we did just yesterday. But Jesus knew the answer and I knew He loved you so. So I gave to you lifes greatest gift. The gift of letting go. Now my heart will carry memories of the love you gave to me. Until we meet again in heaven where the best is yet to be. I used Wild Asparagus kit and prima flowers.
What a great tribute page. The old photos look awesome. She looks like she had lots of love to give.

This is a wonderful tribute to your mother. It makes my heart clench reading it. ((hugs))

What a wonderful memory page! Your mom looks like she was wonderful to know. What a beautiful poem too. Thanks for sharing the memories and your mom with us.
