Journaling: We went to Milan to get my airline tickets changed and decided to see the sites while we were there. We had just tried to see The Last Supper but it was closed for restoration. We left and decided to go to the Duomo. It is a beautiful gothic cathedral in the middle of Milan. Derek and our friends had gone ahead of me because I was being slow taking pictures. When I got about halfway across the courtyard I felt somebody put something in my hand and then raise it way up in the air. Birds came from everywhere and I started screaming. The person told me it was okay but then took my camera and I panicked again but then he started taking pictures of me. It was kinda cool, although I was covered in pigeons, which are the most disgusting creature ever...rats with wings we like to call them. After the birds ate all the stuff (it turned out to be popcorn) the guy gave me my camera back and told me to give him money. Was he serious? He just had me attacked by birds and he wanted money?? I fished out a few Lire but definately not what he had asked for. So, here you see these cool pictures of me feeding the birds, but I was scared, irritated and disgusted. The rest of the trip was fun, and even the pigeon event, after the fact, wasnt so bad, except that I couldnt find a bathroom to wash my nasty dirty hands.
