This is a page for my daughter's babyalbum. I wanted to add to it why we named her 'Famke'.
I didn't use any pictures, and kept the page simple, on purpose, to make it look more like the page of a book...
Translation:
A long time ago, when daddy and mommy were still very little, it was common to call after (?) your children: you would give your children the same name as grandpa/grandma or dad/mom. When you were born, that wasn't common anymore, but daddy and mommy still felt that it was a beautiful tradition. So you were called after both your grandma's. And because both your grandma's have passed away a long time ago, it was extra special for daddy and mommy to do that. In that way, both your grandma's still, for a little bit, keep on living...
Your name is 'Bastiana', because that was the name of daddy's mommy.
Your first name is 'Famke', because mommy's mommy often said 'girl' to mommy. Since mommy's mommy was Fries, she, ofcourse, said that in Fries. And the Fries word for 'girl' is... 'famke'...
