I love the colors of purple and the pinks and the blues and the swirl that you used to mix them all together! The words in the sentiment are perfect! We need to reclaim the time that we allow people take from us.

I love pages that have a lot to look at and hidden things also... Your page perfectly reflects your intentions, and the color is stunning! such a happy color. I like that group of kids laughing in the corner also....

Thank you Susie. Your encouragement and challenging over splatter, paint and movement have really challenged me and I am trying to see how I can enhance things. I personally dislike purple because of past relationships but its part of the reclaiming too as it is a pretty color. NO longer allowing someone to steal peace and pretty.

Thank you Cheryl! Your layout was so perfect I wanted to copy it but it felt wrong, as I am to reclaim my meaning. So yes, some stubbed toes, one face plant, and then it hit perfection. I really needed the darker background but the stamps in black didn't pop. I never recolor so it was huge stretch to make them white so they popped. Peace in the darkness. I love how reclaim seems to wrap up the year and new beginnings for next year.

Thank you so much. That's one thing I love about art journal layouts there is always so much to see and how it speaks to us each differently. I'm so glad you see the intention and that it came through.

You made me laugh out loud when I started reading this, Tracy. You are the funniest person ~ but you're SO open with your feelings and I LOVE that about you, too. I'd LOVE to see what you'd create if you scrap lifted my page. I I'm so pleased that you like it that much. I can't believe this was the first time you've recolored. You did an amazing job and you're right, the brushes would not show on the dark background. One more tool to add to your toolbelt.
