When I was little, I wanted to be an astronaut when I grew up. I think that's why these fashion photos speak to me. There's some exotic, alluring, and mysterious about adventuring into space.
For this art journaling layout, I used the Stargazer Collection by A Whimsical Adventure. I started by bringing my two photos onto my canvas, and sizing one of them to be slightly smaller than the other. Then I added a 50 pixel white stroke around the edge of the photos, to frame them.
Next, I brought in a gold colored artsy paper as the background. I layered some purple, aqua, and gold paint and splatters on top of the paper and positioned them around and underneath the photos.
I knew I wanted to use the Andromeda flair, so I brought that in and positioned it near the center of the layout. Next I added the staples to attach the photos to the canvas. And I added the elastic cord tied with bows and dangled a star charm from it. Then I tucked some thread behind the Andromeda flair.
After that, I played with some of the fun ephemera in the collection, tucking pieces in behind the photos. Then I added some flowers, star scatters, and the silver puffy star to the end of the thread.
