Since this cutie is 16 and over 6' 5" tall, my house decorated for Christmas, I've decided I'm so far behind I've caught up with myself and I'm still behind.
The technique I used, I extracted the monkey from his photo and then took him out of his blue bumpee chair. The pumpkin was an element from the kit. I removed the stem and hollowed out the eyes so his arms fit. After filling the pumpkin in with a couple more layers, I applied a large bevel and adjusted the blending and lighting to give it a smooth round pumpkin effect. Last thing I added was a larger shadow to give it all a more dimensional effect.

Journaling reads: Your first Halloween, October 31st, 2009. You were the cutest organ grinder’s monkey ever! Your mom’s silly Auntie Cheryl made the costume for you. She did such an AHH-mazing job!

Oh my gosh! I would have guessed that this little cutie was photographed while sitting in a pumpkin until I read your explanation. You did an amazing job of collaging him into the pumpkin and giving that pumpkin dimension! Wow! He was totally too cute to spook! What a great title! :lovey3:

Nope, that pumpkin was an element, I did learn something about playing with bevels, hopefully I'll remember. Here's the original photo and that's after I fixed the massive red eye

Seriously terrific job blending him with the pumpkin element. And I love hearing that you're still learning new things about this fun hobby we share! :lovey3:

What I know about it you could put on the head of a pin and still have room for an elephant, but it's fun to learn, the trick is to remember.....

So cute, Jeanne!!! Fun layout! I hope you still have joy and fun with your grandson, even if he probably hangs out with girls now.
