June AJ Challenge Week 4

The Week 4 AJ Challenge has been posted. This week, Chris asked us to look over our first 3 layouts for this month's challenges. Was there one that we didn't really like? There was other criteria too, but i really didn't like my layout for Week 2. I wasn't sure WHY I didn't especially like it, I just didn't. Upon more introspection, I realized that it wasn't truly me. I had tried to create something that isn't my "style". I tried to create a "calm" layout by using "calm" colors and not a lot of extra artsy stuff (which is my usual style).

SO, I started breaking Week 2 down. WHAT specifically didn't i like? What DID I like? I loved the statue so I kept that. I loved the quote i used, but it lacked something. I kept it and changed the font - bingo. Love that.

What I basically did was "de-construct" Week 2 layout then "re-constructed it.

YES!!! So glad that you took a good look at your page and recreated it in your own style. The sense of disconnect to your OG page made you feel unsettled and now you made something that made you feel at peace. Just FAB!!!

Thanks so much for this unique challenge, Chris. You hit the nail on the head - I did feel disconnected from the first page. I loved recfeating it and now I'm very happy with it. I loved the opportunity to make this page over.
