Dear Agata,
I’m writing to let you know that I am proud of you. You are warm and kind. I admire your selflessness and empathy. I’m also in awe of your intelligence, creativity, strength, and sense of humor. You went through a lot, but life’s challenges did not dim your light; if anything, they increased it.
I want you always to remember how beautiful your soul is and how strong and courageous you are.
I also want you to remember that self-care is NOT selfish, setting boundaries is NOT selfish, and saying “no” is NOT selfish. You can only give what you have. You cannot pour from an empty jug. So, stop. Rest. Breath. Laugh. Play. Dance. Be lighthearted and forget the weight of the world, if only for a little while. Then come back stronger than ever and pick up where you left off. You are the most beautiful, smart, fearless, and powerful creature!
Always yours,
Me
