Ooooooh-I have been to Ft. Myers Beach so many times (but not the last years). It always was a loooong trip with our children from here in Germany, but we loved it so much!

I am not sure...but I think this pier is alo gone from the hurricane and has to be rebuilt?

Yes, Susanne, Ft. Myers Beach was badly devastated during Hurricane Ian. We lived in S. Ft. Myers (very near the beach) for many years, and I actually took this photo in 2015. This pier is indeed iconic and I'm so thankful to have this wonderful photo of it.

I do treasure all of my photos of Ft. Myers Beach, Debby. It was such a special and magical place. They will be back, but how incredibly sad that so many things are just gone. Sanibel is another place that is near and dear to our hearts - that was a terrible loss, too.
