Journaling:
For me, the golden hour is magical. It’s not just the soft, golden hues but the quiet stillness before the world wakes up. Early mornings, when all is dark and silent, feel like the universe pauses. This is my me-time, even after a bad night’s sleep. And I am a bad sleeper, a really bad sleeper. I often wake up around 5 o’clock, unable to get back to sleep.
Awake before dawn, I have learned to cherish these moments. Wrapped in a blanket with a cup of coffee or tea, I watch the faint light color the sky. There’s no rush or noise — just me and the promise of a new day.
The golden hour’s soft light transforms everything, casting long shadows and highlighting textures. As a photographer, it’s when I feel most inspired. Even without my camera, it’s a time of renewal, reminding me that every day is a fresh canvas. The stillness is a gift, offering clarity and purpose before the day begins. When the first sunlight breaks through, I feel ready to face whatever comes.
