October Art Journaling Week 4 {EMBRACE}

The Week 4 AJ Challenge has been posted. Our word prompt for October has been EMBRACE. I chose to "EMBRACE CHANBE" . When I first used this awesome Phoenix Rising Kit by Viva Artistry, I knew I'd use it again. I have dreaded the night (maybe not "feared" them) but in a way I have. The word art in this kit really spoke to me and I decided that I'd know when the right time came to use this. I LOVE the thought of "The Phoenix Rising" and combined this with the wings that I've been using for several months. As the months have rolled on, I've become stronger and not so "afraid" of the night. My "journey" has been helped, tremendously by these AJ Challenges, which I've chosen to use as a "grief journal" of sorts, but most of all, the wonderful support and show of love that I've gotten from all of you, here at The O.

This is super emotional and bittersweet. I love the imagery of you as the phoenix rising but sad that you had to go through so much pain to get where you are. Strenght, courage, and grief are all evident in your page. Hugs~~~~

Oh Cheryl what a page. I love the phoenix rising. Watching your grief journal thought the AJ pages has been amazing so far. The strength and love and depth of emotion is raw and amazing. I'm honored to be here and share in your journey. The upper left journaling and word strips together is just powerful and shows how strong a woman you are. The woman's sadness and poise is so perfect. Sadly Chuck is behind her yet, he's right beside her and not forgotten or left behind. Very powerful page. :heartpumppink:

Thanks for your wonderful words, Chris. I changed this around several times, but had this vision and I'm so happy that it translated to my page. Yes, all the feels are represented on here. :heartpumpred::heartpumpred:

You know how much I love your interpretation of my pages, Tracy. This has been such a sad and difficult time, but doing these grief journal pages has pulled me up and as I said above, I have gotten so much support from all of you here at The O. :heartpumpred::heartpumpred:

Honestly, you are so inspiring, it's rare when someone can express pain and sorrow, and growth in a visual way that makes others feel with you. I don't know how you do it week but I'm so greatful that you are doing it and allowing the rest of us to travel the road with you.

Oh my goodness, Jeanne, you just gave me chills. I'm SO blessed to have the support that I've had here - that's been a huge part of my "recovery journey". Honestly, I'm never quite sure what's going to come out on my page - I just get a vision then go with it. I don't have the words to tell all of you what hat your love and support have meant to me and how it's helped me get back on my feet. :heartpumpred: :heartpumpred: :heartpumpred: :grouphugyay:
