September AJ Challenge Week 3 {FOCUS}

Created for the AJ Challenge, Week 3 FOCUS:

I've been "struggling" again this past week. I'm trying to FOCUS on moving forward, but it's like one step forward, two steps back. I guess, to sum it up, my page is about my stuggle to stay focused. I'm focusing on getting focused. I've reworked this page several times. My first attempt was just "too focused" and I don't really feel that way, yet. So, back to the drawing board. After many start overs, this is what I created. I added some of my own journaling.

What a beautiful page. I love the photo of you and Chuck. The smiles :love: The love and adoration. The first thing I saw was the border. The love and forever going around again. Its a reminder but also a sign of the struggles. I love your layout. I see the struggle but I also see the love in focus. I love how this photo has the light shining down on Chuck. Such a special layout Cheryl! :hug2:

This is a wonderful page. The photo is beautiful. I know your life is a work in progress to push past the struggles, but take care of yourself along the way :heartpumpred:

Thanks so much, Tracy. I really struggled with this one because on the one hand, I want to move forward, but I just can't. I'm kind of straddling the two worlds right now. I'm so glad you "got" my page and all the struggles that I'm going through right now. Yes, the border cemented the whole page for me. Thanks for noticing. :hug2: This picture was cropped from a very special day and it was such a happy occasion. :hug2:

Thank you for your sweet comments, Bitzee. I love this photo so much and it did my heart good to use it. Yes, I'm definitely a work in progress. :heartpumpred::heartpumpred::hug3:

Dont feel you have to rush. Straddle that line and take each moment as they come. Grieve when you need to, celebrate when its time. I haven't lost the love of my life, but I lost my dad, and that first year is hard. There is no timeline :heartpumppink: No "better by" date. I still want to call him and tell him things and its been 13 years. I still get mad that he missed events. But one day, who knows when, you will realize you have learned how to do life and it wont hurt as much.:hug2:

Oh my goodness, I love what you just wrote, Tracy. It's almost 8 months and it seems like yesterday. It will be 8 months on the 22nd. I still feel like I'm straddling that line and maybe I always will. You're so right - it takes as long as it takes. You lost your dad 13 years ago - that's a long time. I know what you mean - I still find myself thinking "I can't wait to tell Chuck this" - it's just such a big hole in our lives. Thanks for your support and love - they mean SO much to me. :hug3:
