Winter's Silent Shores

Many people flock to the seaside in summer, drawn to the sun, the lively atmosphere, and the crashing waves. But for me, the charm of the sea is lost in the crowds, the noise, and the overpowering scents of sunscreen that linger in the air. My love for the sea comes alive in the colder months, during autumn and winter, when a brisk wind sweeps the beach and the shores are deserted.

In these quieter seasons, the beach transforms into a sanctuary of solitude. I find immense joy in walking along the empty shoreline, breathing in the crisp, salty air, and listening to the rhythmic sound of the waves. The sea, stripped of its summer vibrancy, reveals a raw and rugged beauty that speaks to my soul. The waves, often wild and untamed, hold a power that is both humbling and exhilarating.

There’s a profound peace that comes with standing alone on the winter beach, where the landscape is stark, and the horizon stretches endlessly. The sea in autumn and winter is a place of reflection, where nature’s simplicity brings clarity and calm. For me, this is when the sea truly shines, offering a deep sense of connection and contentment that I can’t find in the crowded summer months.
Just beautiful, Sonja. I agree about the winter seashore - it has it's own unique beauty. I love the solidary couple walking along the beach and the curve you captured with your elements.

Thank you for your nice compliment. To me, The winter seashore holds a beauty all its own, unlike any other season.
