Journaling reads: After our visit to the Conservatory, we realized we hadn't eaten breakfast yet and our tummies were rumbling. When we're in Key West, we love to have the local delights instead of eating something we could have back home in Minnesota, so definitely no McDonald's for breakfast! Ewww! Neither of us had ever tried crepes before, so we decided to check out the Creperie. They had a menu full of different choices and we figured Red Velvet Crepes were a hearty breakfast. Let me tell you, they weren't just a treat for the eyes – they were absolutely scrumptious., OMG, there were many sighs as they disappeared into our insides. Just picture a crepe filled with chocolate ganache, fresh strawberries, a BIG dollop of real whipped cream, and a scoop of French Vanilla ice cream. We did more than imagine it, we ate it 8 times during our stay and when we found our other favorite breakfast, we just alternated days. Bliss! Who needs mimosas? The coffee is FABulous!!! Besides we didn't want the extra calories in mimosas.
