At our last stop, there was lots of action and we could have stayed and watched longer, but we weren't sure our photos would be good and we were tired and cold. We never did figure out what they were doing, but we were pretty sure it was a lot of aggressive behavior.

Wow! What can I say. Just love these glimpses of nature you've observed. I'm supposing the aggression is all about springtime hormones? Or perhaps they're guarding their nests or competing for limited resources? I wonder which. Your pages have reminded me how wonderful and how curious nature is.
